As a company, Scout has a long history of giving back – we always try to go the extra mile to support projects in our community. Not only do we donate to various charities, but our Staff regularly lend their time, both in and out of office, to help organize and run various events.
This year we’ve been working on a very special project for Remembrance Day. Twelve months of planning, one thousand volunteer hours and ten thousand poppies have gone into what we hope is a fitting tribute to our veterans.
This is the third time we have been involved with events designed to show our appreciation for Canada’s Veterans. As a company we feel very passionate about our Veterans and understand that if it wasn’t for the selfless acts of these brave men and women fighting for our freedom for generations many of us wouldn’t be here today.
Our hope is that people passing our building, situated at the intersection of Dundas West and Runnymede Road, see the installation and take a second to remember what November 11th is all about – showing our appreciation to Veterans and Military service members whose role is to protect and defend the freedoms afforded to us here in Canada.
This project is particularly special to the team at Scout Logistics because we wholeheartedly believe Veterans should be thanked not just on the 11th of November, but every day.
The installation will be in place until the 16th November, 2016.
